Lesson #5: Snare-Bass-Chord Move

Now that you can play two instruments at the same time to spice up any chord rhythm, let’s take it up a notch by playing the bass, snare AND a chord all at the same time!

Use exactly the same technique to play the snare and the chord, but add an extra step by lift your forearm and twist it slightly. The upper forearm remains connected to the anchor point while you hit down to play the bass with your wrist. Do this while pushing the arm down and twist your forearm slightly in order to create the snare sound. Watch the video for a demonstration of this technique.
